Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Builder
Born in Leeds in 1958 (yes that is old), I was brought up with one sister by my widowed mother following the death of my father in 1961. I still have a noticeable Yorkshire accent.
I obtained reasonable grades at Horsforth School, and went on to Leeds College of Building (Ordinary National Diploma in Building), and then Leeds Polytechnic (Honours Degree in Building), before starting my working career wondering around Great Britain.

In 1988 whilst working in Essex I became a Chartered Builder, and in 1993, after some years with a Chartered Surveying practice, I became a Chartered Building Surveyor
I like to read popular philosophy such as The Celestine Prophecy and some more in depth work by Deepak Chopra. I listen to a wide range of music, from jazz and classical to pop, house, garage and even heavy metal (that is hard to believe)
I was originally married in 1985, but fifteen months later it was all over. I married a second time in 2006, and have celebrated my fourth wedding anniversary to Donna. We have two small ‘monsters’ called Amy and Lucy.
Hobbies these days revolve around the children, such as mending toys, putting batteries in toys, going swimming, going out for days to parks and adventure playgrounds! As ‘daddy’ I only get to stand and watch!
