Nigel Paul Marsden
B.Sc (Hons), M.C.I.O.B., M.R.I.C.S

Nigel MarsdenBorn in Leeds in 1958 (yes that is old), I was brought up with one sister by my widowed mother following the death of my father in 1961. I still have a noticeable Yorkshire accent.

I obtained reasonable grades at Horsforth School, and went on to Leeds College of Building (Ordinary National Diploma in Building), and then Leeds Polytechnic (Honours Degree in Building), before starting my working career wondering around Great Britain.

Nigel in LondonI was married for a short time in 1985, and am now a divorcee with no children.

In 1988 whilst working in Essex I became a Chartered Builder, and in 1993, after some years with a Chartered Surveying practice, I became a Chartered Building Surveyor

I enjoy cars and most things mechanical, and have a wide range of hobbies that I never seem to get the time to pursue. I do try to go to the cinema often, and I have never actually owned a television set or had a TV licence.

I like to read popular philosophy such as The Celestine Prophecy and some more in depth work by Deepak Chopra. I listen to a wide range of music, from jazz and classical to pop, house, garage and even heavy metal (that is hard to believe)!
